| Charitable Deeds | Last year we had Marathon Man Graham Buckingham who is the son-in-law of Michael Adams the Master of the Lodge of Academe(2005-2006). ran the London marathon for us,donations went towards the Warwickshire Festival 2012 for the New Masonic Samaritan Fund.

Graham finished in 3hrs 13 mins 5 secs, a truly stunning performance for a mortal.
Lets hope he joins the Lodge of Academe as our first athletic initiate .

The Bolivian Bike Challenge
Bro Tony Ingram was taking part in a bike race across the Bolivian Andes, finishing on the Pacific Coast in Chile in September. This was tobe a two week orienteering mountain bike race, starting on top of an active volcano at an altitude of 3.4 miles. The race will take in the spine of the Andes across the Atacama Desert and the largest salt lake in the world. This is a truly epic event that will be televised on the Adventure Challenge Channel.
Sadly two of the race teams backed out and it was cancelled, but we did raise some money no matter, other madness is being planned. |
